The Month of March brings lots of activities to OCSS. Check out these highlights from around the school!

Middle Grades students learn about the Holocaust from a survivor, Dr. Zev Harel and exhibits provided by the NC Holocaust Council.

Spring is here!!! If you are feeling the itch of Spring Fever, we have the cure!!! Student Council is hosting a Dance!!!

Our 3rd round of check ins will occur March 25th - April 5th.

While the rest of the country goes crazy for basketball, we are battling with mammals! Students finished up their brackets last week and we will see which mammal reigns supreme!

Show your love of reading and school spirit by participating this week!

The 2nd Annual STEM Gala will be held April 6, 2019 at The Barn at Oakboro.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, Jacie Bennett, Zoe Smith and Brianna Douglas, and Anya Bullock and Ella Shelton traveled to UNC-Charlotte to compete in the Region 6 Science Fair with students from across the area including Mecklenburg, Cleveland, Lincoln, Gaston, Rowan, Cabarrus, Union, Anson, and Iredell counties.

Oakboro STEM Kindergarten Night has been set for Thursday, 2/21 for rising kinderscholars. We will take completed enrollment forms and have a notary on site for processing. In addition, we plan to have our nurse/cafeteria and teachers on hand to share what to expect this coming year.
