Welcome to Beekeeping Club!

The Beekeeping Club will meet twice a month to discuss the basics of beekeeping. We will learn about why bees are so important, the bee life cycle, equipment needed to be a beekeeper, problems honey bees face, how to harvest honey and so much more. This year our club will focus on learning the basics so that hopefully in the future we will have many knowledgeable scholars to maintain our own hives here at school. Beekeeping club will not be in hives or interacting with live bees this year. It will be hands-on in other ways!

Beekeeping will meet every other Thursday. Our first meeting will be Thursday, February 3rd. Our meetings will run until 4:30. The club is open to all grade levels K-8, and students of all knowledge levels are welcome!
